In our Statistics we have 175 encounters with a total length of 4-5 meter.
With a total length of 10 meter we have only one encounter.

Do you see whale sharks all year around?

Yes in our statistics we have all year round whale shark encounters. In some months the water is more plentiful with rich plankton and then we have more whale shark encounters.

Do you recognise the same whale shark again and again?

Yes we do and that is the reason why we are starting up with a local Maldives website. We have actually positive picture identification of some sharks over a one year period.
